CODeLLA will provide girls both inspiration to explore IT and practical skills. They will meet and hear female role models in technology speak. Later on in the afternoons, the girls will also be able to go into breakout session classrooms to complete related activities to further familiarize themselves with the field.

Monumental- Virtual reality conversations

Students will learn to create their own virtual reality experience using photos they take of surrounding historical monuments and landmarks in the greater Richmond, Va. area. Richmond is known for its’ controversial statues and landmarks. The students will create an audio/text giving additional historical context to their VR experience.

ITgirl is designed to teach underrepresented girls programming and equip them with the skills and confidence to persist in tech. Curriculum is derived from Mobile CSP and focuses on app development. Sessions will take place on Saturdays, culminating in a hackathon and ultimately funneling into its sister high school initiative.
