More About the Program

IT Empowerment for Her:Robotics is a weekend robotics workshop session specifically for middle school girls from underrepresented areas. The girls will meet IT professionals and mentors to help guide them through STEM careers and courses. They will also get to see a FRC and FTC robot and learn more about the teams. The girls will learn basic CS logic and program robots to draw and move using Scribbler Robots. Using their new understanding of CS, the girls will team up to create their own community impacting posters. By the end of the session, we hope the girls will have a new view on the IT field and will feel empowered to pursue technology careers.

The program will be held on February 17th - 18th from 10am to 4pm each day at the University of Texas at Dallas, which is located in Richardson, TX.

PLEASE NOTE: this program is the same as the one in January. Please do not register for both.

More specific information will be provided to registered participants in late January. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer please email Saumya at
