More About the Program

About Us: Code CS is an initiative sponsored by the National Center for Women in Information Technology and led by a group of passionate, tech-savvy high school students. The girls will be introduced to programming through Code.org and App Inventor. They will create their own apps while developing critical skills such as teamwork, problem solving, and the agile mindset. All projects will emphasize environmental health. The girls will also hear from guest speakers with successful careers in technology thanks to our partnership with Code.org. We hope that early exposure will catalyze gender diversity in the fields of engineering and computer science.
