More About the Program

By the ending of the program, participants of this program will have a solid understanding of the basics of computer science from the terminology to the principles of coding using block-based code. I will start off the program by introducing them to basic coding skills using Google's CS First Program that will be essential for their foundational understanding. By the final program date, they all will have used what they had learned to complete a coding related project. Students will also learn how to overcome any computing-related challenges, which will boost their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, both of which are necessary components for a career in the computer science field. Furthermore, if public health regulations allow, we may meet in person towards the end of the program to work on hands-on programming in order to gain a better understanding of these concepts.
