HackSIP 2 is a week-long summer program where underrepresented females will be introduced to 21st century technology skills through a variety of STEM-related seminars. The micro:bit, Scratch, and quantum computing classes will be dedicated to the development of students’ programming skills while the hyperdoc and video editing classes focus on teaching the importance of utilizing modern technology.

More About the Program

HackSIP 2 is a week-long seminar that will immerse students in 21st century technology skills. Each day will be dedicated to different topics including MicroPython, Scratch, Intro to Quantum Computing, Hyperdoc, and Video Editing skills.

Day 1: Students will be introduced to Python and learn to utilize the programming language through the Micro:bit device.

Day 2: Students will program the micro:bit using Scratch and also practice interactive, block-based programming while exploring different women in STEM.

Day 3: Students will be introduced to Quantum Computing covering concepts such as superposition and entanglement.

Day 4/5: Students will learn how to make their everyday projects/presentations more fun, engaging, and interactive through film editing and hyperdoc creation.
