More About the Program

Through "Adventures in 3D Printing", girls in grades 5-8 will explore how technology can shape the world around them. Program participants will learn and understand the basics of 3D printing and computer coding using software such as Tinkercad and Code.org. The program will include a dynamic line-up of engaging, motivating, and informative female guest speakers that will discuss how technology can be an asset to their education and future. Knowing that self-esteem is a major social problem with young girls today, we will address and conquer the stereotypes of women in tech and simultaneously provide added self-esteem and self-worth touchpoints! Upon completing the "Adventures in 3D Printing" program, girls will experience how technology can benefit their lives, explore themes of self-worth, and engage with computer coding and design software.
