She Can Tech is a near-peer, introductory, quick-paced series of four three-day workshops for girls in grades 4-9. From building apps to building circuits with Arduino, participants will gain skills and enthusiasm to complete projects aimed towards solving social issues that can be showcased to parents and the community.

Video Game Design: November 12, 13 & 14, 2019

  • Family Preview Night: October 22, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at the Portage Boys & Girls Club. Come enjoy snacks and a sample activity! Registration and students will available on site to answer questions.

Cost

This program is free for Boys & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana members. However, if obtaining a Club membership (a one time $40 annual fee) is an obstacle, She Can Tech offers scholarships to cover the cost of a Club membership. Please email shecantechqa@gmail.com with the student name, grade, school, and a parent phone number to request a scholarship.

She Can Tech is a student volunteer led technology program that works to increase the meaningful participation of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
