More About the Program

This program revolves around the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in society. On the first day of the workshop, the students will be introduced to AI through Microsoft’s Custom Vision software. The girls will see AI in action by engaging in an online program that allows them to create their own AI project. This activity will teach the girls about machine learning -- a branch of AI in which the machine can learn on its own and improve with experience. Through Microsoft’s Custom Vision software, the girls will train the computer to recognize the hand gestures of rock, paper, & scissors.

On the second and third days, students will use Scratch to dive into the real-world applications of machine learning by building projects centered around sentiment analysis, image classification, and social media analysis.
