More About the Program

Participants will gain confidence in basic coding skills. They will be able to apply the knowledge learned to create their own simple and unique playable games and code robots to do different tasks. Additionally, participants will be made aware of different coding-based careers so that they may understand applications of coding in the real world.

For more information, contact Zena.

There will be four different coding projects for participants to enjoy and learn from.

Session 1: Tynker/Tinkercad project that will teach participants how to code basic circuits. Participants will be able to recognize how this code is at work in the real world in professions such as electrical engineering.

Session 2: An HTML project where participants will learn to code a web page, complete with pictures. This program has an emphasis on teaching the participants about web development.

Session 3: A Scratch project where participants will learn to code their own games that they will be able to play! Potentially, as an alternative, participants will be able to create light-up holiday cards with a basic circuit!
