More About the Program

Students will get to explore the basics of building an Alexa skill, and will have the opportunity to complete a project that uses their knowledge to help solve a real-world problem. The first day will start with an introduction to the field and the topic, and the second day will focus on building and customizing your own Alexa skill. At the end of the second session, students will get to hear a speaker with expertise in technology, and we will have an awards ceremony! The program is open to all girls served by the DC Housing Authority in grades 6th to 12th, regardless of coding experience. Lunch and snacks will be provided for both sessions.
