HelloGirlPR is a program that teaches elementary school girls from the east coast/center of Puerto Rico about the basics of programming and how to express their creativity through coding. They will also learn about important societal issues and spread awareness through their skills, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary problem-solving.

More About the Program

Through this program, participants will learn about programming, computing, and the careers they can follow in this branch of science and engineering. They will learn about the basics of coding, create their own games and stories, program robots, and more. They will also have the opportunity to hear and interact with speakers who are women in STEM who might inspire them to follow a similar career. They will also see how coding can be applied to real-world problems and how we can use coding to raise awareness on societal issues.
