NYCxSTEM is a FREE service provided to NYC public school teachers and Summer Program Directors. Teachers and counselors can sign up to have our team of mentors engage students in coding activities right in their classroom. NYCxSTEM works to engage 4th and 5th grade girls from underserved NYC schools, particularly in the Bronx. Schedule

Our Code Kit workshop gives girls a powerful toolbox to easily engage in coding skills and computational thinking. By building circuits and programming, girls get a hands-on understanding of "what's inside the machine" and how it connects to the software. Students gain creative confidence and critical 21st century skills through scaffolded activities such as programming "Hello World" and creating arcade games.
