Girls will learn the basics of coding and computational thinking. Each day will consist of an unplugged activity, followed by a "lab" session where they’ll apply the activity’s theme to create programs using block code. Afterwards, the girls will also apply this theme to program a robot (Sphero).

More About the Program

Come learn about programming at Chica Code Camp! No past computer science experience is needed. All you need to do is bring yourself and a curious mind. We'll provide the rest (including the food)! Middle school girls are encouraged to apply to this week-long, all-girls coding camp meant to introduce young women to the world of computer science. We'll be learning the basics of computational logic, working with robots (Mini-Spheros), and going on a field trip to the El Paso Fab Lab at the end. For more information, please contact the Program Leader, Aya Abdelgawad, at 919739@canutillo-isd.org.
