She STEMs is a 10-week program for girls in the East Bay Area. During the sessions we'll be working with hardware development and learning about different types of engineering. Throughout the course, you'll learn everything from the basics of electrical engineering and circuits to pitching and entrepreneurship.

Program Dates & Times

The program will be on Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, and we'll have snacks for students to eat. We have already started this program, and plan to continue to May.

Cost

The program is free, but we would love any donations ($10-20)! These donations go towards organizing field trips, swag for our students, and other supplies. If there are any issues with the program fee, we have many scholarships to offer to students.

More About the Program

She STEMs is a 10-week program for 15-20 girls in the East Bay Area. During the sessions we'll be working with hardware programming and learn about different types of engineering. Throughout the course, you'll learn about web development through robotics. 

The program is free, but we would love any donations ($10-20)! These donations go towards organizing field trips, swag for our students, and other supplies. If there are any issues with the program fee, we have many scholarships to offer to students.

Students are expected to attend at least 8 of the 10 meeting days.

Meeting 2: HTML, CSS, JS + Create your own vision board

Meeting 3: Learn to code with Arduinos!

Meeting 5: Basic Engineering Principals

Meeting 6: Field trip

Meeting 7: Intro to entrepreneurship and business planning + special guest!

Meeting 8: Developing Phase 1 for final projects

Meeting 9: Final touches on final projects

Meeting 10: Last meeting and "Dolphin Tank" with a panel of women in STEM
