STEAMpunks Junior, led by members of STEAMpunks Alpha from WHS Robotics, will cover the basics of building and programming with Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots. Participants will put together robots using the EV3 Brick, motors, and sensors and learn how to program robots to autonomously navigate through a mini urban city.

WishIT, DreamIT, DoIT will be an engaging after-school program offered to girls in grades 6-8. Through this program, participants will progress from drag-and-drop to text coding as they program Sphero robots and explore the vast applications of robotics, from companionship for homebound seniors to video surveillance and disaster relief.

This program consists of four three-hour workshops for fourth to eighth grade girls to teach them about engineering and technology through coding and other interactive activities such as Arduinos. There will also be an eight-hour hackathon for fourth through tenth grade girls at the conclusion of these workshops. Participants will learn about basic coding principles and be able to create their own projects. They'll also learn about hardware, and about how hardware and software interact in robotics. Finally, they'll learn about engineering and its many applications.
