Robot Springboard Camp teaches computer programming and engineering skills through the use of Lego Robotics. Over the five day camp, participants progress from creating simple programs utilizing drag and drop motor blocks to navigate mazes, to complex programs utilizing digital and analog sensors for line following and multi­step tasks. In addition to the programming and robotics, participants will get an opportunity to hear from other girls and women working in technology fields so they can gain a perspective of the types of career opportunities that are available.

Mobile App Development and Social Entrepreneurship Program is a 2 day summer program of mobile app development and technology entrepreneurship workshops for middle school girls. Throughout the sessions, participants will learn how to build their own mobile apps to address a substantial problem in their community and will present their ideas on the Mobile App Showcase & Pitch Day.

Session 1: Learn to Code
1. Girls will learn basics of App Inventor
2. Learn to make an app using App Inventor
3. Learn how to present ideas

Session 2: Mobile App Showcase & Pitch Day
1. Form teams and propose ideas for apps to address social problems
2. Develop app and present it to parents and judges to win a special prize
