More About the Program

We are excited to be hosting a three-day workshop series in partnership with UCSD CREATE at the Sweetwater Professional Development Center! This will be a great way for students to gain exposure to programming with python and how to fly drones with them.

As an organization working to encourage diversity in a male-dominated field, we are also working to raise money for girls all around the world. Thus, we have added an option to collect donations for an organization called Commit2Change, which has a goal of sending all girls in India to school. If you believe in this organization, we sincerely hope that you donate as well. Please click the donate ticket when you sign up! Here is a little more about the organization Commit2Change: https://www.commit2change.org/

We have a very strict policy on students who sign up and do not show up. Please do not sign up if you cannot make it.

Participants should have a computer that can connect to the Internet and run the following software. If you cannot provide a computer for your child, please email us and we will try to make some accommodations!

Meeting 2:

Participants will export their code onto their drones and actually debug their code. They will work in groups to make their drones fly forward and backward.

Meeting 3:

Participants will continue their work on drones and eventually make the drone fly in a certain path, as directed by barriers near the ground.
