More About the Program

“Catwalk Coding” will be a five-day, all-girl instructional program for girls to learn electronics and coding while constructing their own individualized version of “Illumi-cize”, the invention I brought to the 2015 White House Science Fair. I hope to dispel any notions that girls in tech are all tomboys by creating a vehicle for girls to display their electronic savvy while embracing their “girly” nature through creative, fashion-forward bling. The camp will culminate in a runway extravaganza followed by inspiration speeches and Q and A with incredible women in tech careers.

For more information, contact Maureen.

Schedule

Throughout the week, girls will design and create their own light-up t-shirt and accessory.
